UVM In-Service English Training Courses

Developing Internet Activities

 Project 4: Filimentality

(Note: All assignments that must be turned in are in green. Your answers do NOT have to be publishable in a professional journal. Write only what is needed to answer the questions. You will NOT be graded on your English. Remember, NO ONE is perfect...not even me. Send all assignments to: JoAnn Miller (miller@netservice.com.mx). You can begin the next assignment before you get your feedback. You may be asked to rewrite something, but you cannot FAIL this course.)

We’re going to be working with the Filimentality site for a little while…

(1) Visit this convention presentation Let's Create Web-based Learning Activities! By Michael Krauss  and as you read it try some of the links. We will be working with these ideas little by little in the coming projects. Some of the sources could be useful to you later so keep them in mind.

(2) Now, visit the Filimentality Introductory page. Surf around and see what you can find.

(3) Read the Activity Formats page . We will be visiting each format individually in the following projects. You don’t have to do them now.

(4) Answer the following questions:
When would you use a: Subject Sampler?
                                                             Treasure Hunt?
                                                             WebQuest?
                                                             HotList?

                                                             Multimedia Scrapbook?

If you want an example of one of these activities designed for UVM, follow this link. It was designed for New Interchange 1, Unit 10.
What kind of activity is it? (Send the answers to me)
