There are a lot of other things you can do with the Internet. Here are some examples of four different types of activities you can use in class. Surf through all of them and then choose TWO categories of activities and, for each one, answer these questions:

International Collaborations: These are activities that are more often used in content classrooms (science, social studies, etc.), but there is no reason they can’t be used in an EFL course: The

Keypals: These are the new versions of pen-pals, but here students write each other over the internet. A lot of organizations exist to help you find key-pals. Here is an interesting article as an introduction to using

Puzzle Makers: These are handy little on-line programs that help you make word games. Quia is

Virtual Trips: These are just what they seem…you go to far-away places without leaving the computer. Some are on-going trips where you accompany other people as they travel. Look at these adventures: The
